In culinary school, we learned that a chef is only as good as an omelet.  Well, it's scary.  I've learned that it doesn't really have to be.  Omelets are no scarier than good fried eggs.  A gentle drag then makes the cheese and the perfect blanket for your favorite filling.  Here are some tips to help you become a master chef at breakfast.

 The main difference between a French omelet and an American one is how do you treat eggs once they are in the pan and also how it is served.  A French omelet is mixed with a fork while eggs are cooked to form a structure such as fried eggs and then rolled into a log.  An American omelet pushes the cooked eggs inward using a baking method and pushes the uncooked eggs outward.  Both produce a well-cooked and fluffy omelet, but the French style has a more custard-like texture and is rolled up.  American omelets are also traditionally filled with other ingredients such as cheese, bell peppers, mushrooms, herbs, bacon, or ham.

  Surprisingly, yes!  Creating an omelet in a bag is a great way to make multiple omelets, no flipping at once!  Add your favorite stuffing and shake away.
